WHY I SPEAK?
Speaking in front of a crowd can be a mix of excitement and anxiety. It’s like a roller coaster of emotions. The anticipation leading up to the speaking engagement can be nerve-wracking. There’s often a fear of forgetting what to say, making mistakes, or not living up to the expectations of the audience.
However, once I step onto the stage and start speaking, there’s an adrenaline rush. The feeling of being in the spotlight can be empowering. I can see the faces of my audience, and feel a sense of responsibility to deliver a compelling and informative presentation. I wish to see heads nodding in agreement or people engaged in what I’m saying. When I notice that my message is resonating with the crowd, it’s an incredibly rewarding feeling.
After the presentation is over, there’s a sense of relief and accomplishment. I’ve conquered my fear, I’ve shared my message, and I’ve hopefully made a positive impact on my audience. The knowledge I share might be a source of inspiration for a young person on their journey to conquer knowledge, changing someone’s perspective on certain matters. I feel proud when my knowledge brings value to others and elevates my own self-worth. It’s a great feeling of satisfaction, knowing that I’ve successfully navigated the challenges of public speaking.
In the end, speaking in front of a crowd is a unique experience that can be both daunting and exhilarating, and it’s an opportunity for personal growth and development.
